Learn How To Bake The Perfect Cake
"This recipe sounds strange and tastes wonderful. We have experimented with other brands of soda, but none worked as well. You can also cook potatoes and carrots with the roast for a complete meal."
"Butternut squash, apple and yes, pineapple makes this unique variation of a pineapple upside down cake the perfect choice for autumn. It has the traditional brown sugar-pineapple topping with a very moist and oh so delicious spice cake twist. The recipe was tested in a 4 quart oval crock-pot and would work fine in a 4 quart round crock-pot as well. A friend of mind reported that the cake worked well in a 5 quart round crock-pot."
"This is a rich, satisfying meal that freezes well. Great on a cold winter day. Serve it with tortillas, cornbread, French breadand/or rice! Enjoy!"
"I grew up working in our family restaurants around New Orleans, which is known as "The Big Easy" or "The Crescent City" (due to the shape of the Mississippi River which runs through the heart of this southern city). Like most mom & pop places, we always served Red Beans & Rice on Monday. Always! I've changed the restaurant version a bit to reflect the fact that I use my Crockpot now. I hope you enjoy these yummy beans as much as I did growing up and as my own family now does. Serve over hot, fluffy white rice and a warm piece buttered and grilled French Bread with a side salad or bowl of coleslaw. Sweet iced tea rounds this awesome southern dish off quite nicely."
"OH MY! It is apple season here and what a recipe to have. While you are cooking, canning, reading a book, listening to music, dancing, what better way then to make in the crockpot? Bonus- YOUR house smells divine! (Cookbook Swap 2008, ALSKANN)"
"Another of my aunt's recipes. Great for those cold nights."
"This recipe comes from kraftfoods.com. It sounded good and comforting for the winter months. I have made some adjustments to the recipe. Remember not all slow cookers are created the same, adjust the cooking times accordingly."
"A super-simple way to get a hearty breakfast on the table without any work! This recipe was inspired by an overnight maple and brown sugar oatmeal on MelsKitchenCafe.com (http://www.melskitchencafe.com). Make sure to use steel-cut oats, otherwise you'll end up with a pot of gummy paste."
"This is a classic chicken noodle soup recipe from a recent issue of Good Housekeeping that I'd like to try. Update: I have made this soup and really like it. I did use 3-4 skinless chicken breasts in place of the whole chicken, and I substituted 8 cups of canned chicken broth for the water. If you do this, you might want to add a little less salt unless you use a low-sodium chicken broth. I'm not sure why some reviewers say that their egg noodles dissolve, unless they are using the very fine egg noodles. I use a wide noodle and they are just fine after 20 minutes in the Crock-Pot."
"Almost too easy, the chicken cooks in a creamy, cheesy sauce that is delicious over noodles. This freezes well, too"
"This recipe came from a bowling partner several years ago. It is by far the easiest and tastiest baked bean recipe I've ever used. It can easily be doubled or tripled to accommodate large gatherings. I find it handy because I usually have the ingredients on hand to throw it together."
"I love this Crock-Pot chicken recipe for two reasons: one, my family loves it and two, it is so easy to make! I got this recipe from my sister. She has two children of her own, and they love it too! It's also the best leftovers in the world -- if there are any!"
"A yummy, easy and cheesy corn casserole served with a little heat! I typically add one whole large jalapeno, because I like it warmer!"
"A fluffy, moist wheat and oat bread with a crisp crust. Perfect for baking bread without an oven in the summer."
"Nice plain rice pudding - done in about 3hrs with just a couple of stirs (so not suitable to leave overnight or while you are out). I love to serve this warm with a big dollop of stewed apple or roasted rhubarb. This isn't very very sweet - if you like it sweeter you could add another 1/2 cup of sugar or so."
"This is JUST the drink for those winter-time holidays (Advent, caroling parties, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day). Pleasantly flavored and easy to adjust to your special tastes!"
"This is done in your crock pot. It's one of those set it and forget it recipes that always welcome us home in the very nicest way."
"This recipe is so easy because you don't have to cook the rice first. My whole family loves it."
