Learn How To Bake The Perfect Cake
"A savory scone sure to please."
"I used to live off of these when I was low carbing. They freeze really well. I also occasionally mixed in TVP (texturized vegetable protein) and flax for some extra fiber."
"A delicious honey-pecan topping glazes thick slices of French toast."
"This is a childhood favorite that conjures up memories of growing up as a gringa in South Florida and sitting in the open air Cuban Cafes and indulging on these sweet pastries! These pastries are wonderful with a café con leche!! They were a special treat that we were allowed to have on occasion for breakfast. It is actually one of the few things I actually miss about South Florida! The recipe is from Alex Garcia."
"...without all the saturated fats of coconut milk. If you like your smoothies more on the frozen side, measure out your pineapple and partially freeze."
"Real homemade, no shortcuts here. I love bavarian cream (vanilla pudding) filled donuts dusted with powdered sugar or strawberry filled donuts dusted with granular sugar. Make the donuts and let your imagination get creative with fillings & toppings. These taste very close to Dunkin' Donuts."
"This beautiful cake looks just like a gourmet pastry chef made it! It tastes yummy too, of course."
"This wonderful recipe is from The Cheese Lover's Cookbook and Guide by Paula Lambert, adapted slightly cause I want MORE of everything. These scones also freeze beautifully (fully-baked). I individually wrap in double-foil and then breakfast is ready for me when I don't have time to make it."
"Loaded with all sorts of good things. Makes a good breakfeast on the run."
"A vert easy recipe, posting as a request in a thread for brunch ideas. My great aunt from West Virginia used to make these for breakfast for her overnight guests at her beachhouse in North Carolina, along with home fries and stewed tomatoes. Stuff biscuits with scrambled egg, ham or bacon, if you wish."
"MDM prepared this often from the Alexandria, VA TWIG cookbook, "A Heritage of Good Tastes"; The recipe was contributed by Marjorie Cook. Good with many main dish meats, such as beef, pork, etc. Preparation time includes refrigerator setting time."
"Layer chocolate, strawberry and vanilla for Neapolitan Overnight Oats."
"These are SO delicious - the honey & whole wheat give them a wonderful flavor. Hope you'll enjoy them as much as we do!"
"This was my grandma's favorite waffle recipe. It has become a family favorite enjoyed on special occasions not only by her grandchildren but great-great grandchildren as well. The clipping is yellow with age clipped I suspect from the local daily paper many many years ago."
"When I want a soft boiled egg I want the yolk soft and the white firm. The boiling time has a lot to do with your elevation. 5 minutes is perfect for an elevation of 1100 ft (330 meters) if you are nearer sea level decrease the boiling time if at a higher elevation increase the time. I was surprised that there wasn't a recipe for soft boiled eggs posted (just one with saltine crackers) So simple as it may be I am sure there are many that struggle for the perfect boiled egg. Invest in an egg pricker, a little tool that will prick a small hole in the bottom of the egg allowing the air to escape, preventing the egg from cracking as it boils"
"Perfect for leftover vegetables, this magic quiche creates its own crust as it bakes!"
"Easily made and a beautifully elegant presentation. From the Southern chapter of the United States Regional Cookbook, Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago, 1947."
"A delicious light meal with a salad. Great to take on picnics to serve instead of sandwiches or bread. Can be lightly heated and served warm. Recipe from Australian Coeliac Society Magazine Nov/Dec 09 Cooking time does not include chill time in the fridge"
"A soft flour tortilla, rolled and lightly grilled, filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, onions, peppers, and two cheeses."
"I got this recipe from an OLD "Pillsbury Kitchens' Family Cookbook". I have been using this recipe since I was in High School, so that should tell you how EASY they are to put together and they are such a hit! You can do anything with them. Add fruits for a yummy breakfast dish, chicken and cheeses for a dinner dish (VERY good), or sweet fillings and powdered sugar for a dessert."
